Bed and Breakfast Description

Full amenities suitable for business/vacation travelers. Gower House was built in the late 1800's as a private residence in a Victorian style. It was fully refurbished in the early 1990's and converted into a Bed and Breakfast.

Each of our rooms has high quality king, queen, double and twin bed combinations. Some have whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Each has remote control color cable television, fax and computer modem outlets, telephones, alarm clock/radio. Most of our bedrooms are quite large (in excess of 200 square feet) with our primary focus being comfort and convenience.

Each morning a piping hot breakfast is served in our breakfast room. Many guests on an extended visit to Newfoundland and Labrador tend to find that they need about a week to fully explore the City of St. John's and to take day tours to the numerous communities along the Southern Shore and Conception Bay areas.

Cape Spear is the most easterly point in North America and is conveniently accessible from Abba Inn by either motor car or by a short boat ride from the Harbor. The French Islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon, off the South Coast of the Province, are accessible by scheduled flights from St. John's as well as by commute to Fortune on the Burin Peninsula and then by ferry to St. Pierre.
