Bed and Breakfast Description

A handsome 100 year old three-story brick and sandstone residence, the J.J. Shaw House's Queen Anne Victorian architectural details, reminiscent of the 1900s, include the exterior and interior use of columns, decorative moldings and French doors. Accented throughout with original leaded glass and interesting bay windows.

Listed on the "National Register of Historic Places."

A variety of living areas are available for guest use. Included is the bright & cozy SunPorch with books for all tastes, the elegant Parlor and the Sitting Room where the piano awaits. Gourmet breakfast served on fine china in the formal Dining Room is a culinary delight. Homemade afternoon refreshments are offered as well as in-room expanded coffee and tea service. Bowls of candy and treats can be found throughout the home.

All rooms include: Full gourmet breakfasts, afternoon refreshments, private baths, compimentary high speed wireless internet and air-conditioning. Each room is impecably clean and affords the comforts of home including hair dryer and high end ammenities.

An "Angel Inn": This ever-expanding program is a way for us all to have a global part in giving back. A portion of the rate for your stay is donated to a third world charity. Charities supported have included a girls school in Belize, a Ugandan orphanage, a South African water project, a medical facility in Zimbabwe and the village of Centocow in South Africa. Guests are touched that they are helping to make a difference.

As Idaho's state capital, Boise is the center of governmental activities, and numerous corporations are headquartered here. Quality theatrical productions, concerts and sporting events afford a wide array of year-round entertainment.

Abundant parks, bordered by the clear Boise River offer outdoor enjoyment in the very heart of the city. Savor the long summer days of the Northwest while rafting or fishing the river. The Green Belt provides 26 miles of paved pathways for walking, cycling and rollerblading. In the winter Bogus Basin Ski Area is a wonderland for skiers both day and night, and is a mere 16 mile drive from the Inn.

Elizabeth's Suite: The 4 posted Bird's Eye Maple Queen bed & in-room antique vanity are enhanced by panoramic views through original leaded windows. The light & airy decor is enhanced by lovely natural light. This spacious room includes a private shower.
