Bed and Breakfast Description

Montgomery Center, Vermont bed and breakfast: Phineas Swann B&B

Guests know the minute they step through Phineas Swann's royal plum door that they have entered a classic, intimate and elegant Vermont Country Inn. We are so much more than your typical Bed and Breakfast that we have been tempted to change our name!

Breakfast hours are between 8-9:00 AM. Fresh brewed coffees and teas, assorted juices, fresh baked goods, and a full gourmet breakfast are served daily. We have never had a guest leave feeling hungry. Each room has a queen four poster handcarved mahogany bed with tempurpedic foam topper, down feather bed, and quilted down (not just feather) comforter with designer bedding. All sheets are 600 thread count cotton, and our towels are fluffy Egyptian cotton.

We have recently added flat screen Plasma TVs in each guestroom, private phones with free long distance in the US and Canada, as well as WiFi and individual Internet access in each room.

We have also recently purchased a small two unit house right behind us directly on the Trout River for weekly rentals, so our guests have direct riverfront access. Phineas Swann has been written about in Country Living and Out Magazines and has been reviewed by many publications and web sites. The 3 bedrooms in the main house all have private bathrooms of course, along with period antiques from our antique shop across the street, and the decor changes quite often based on what has sold. Our suites have Jacuzzi tubs, mini fridges & icemakers, along with comfy sofas and recliners.
