Bed and Breakfast Description

The Beau Fleuve B&B has three beautifully appointed guestrooms with private baths and one two-room suite with private bath celebrating the nationalities that settled this friendly Queen City of the Great Lakes.

Follow the tantalizing aroma of freshly brewed gourmet coffee and just-baked muffins down the unique, wide oak staircase, past the gorgeous stained glass windows, into the welcoming dining room with its mulberry-colored walls hung with blue and white plates.

Seat yourself at the common table set with linens and fresh flowers and enjoy a delicious breakfast served by candlelight on fine china. Even if you're not used to dining with strangers, you will come to savor the interesting conversations and laughter shared with your new breakfast companions from the around the country. . .and the world.

Although we try to accommodate guests' special schedules, our full breakfast is generally served at one time: after 7:45 a.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. on weekends. Breakfast starts with juice, a composed fruit plate, gourmet coffee or tea, and the day's choice of muffin, scone, or nutbread. A chef's choice hot entree follows, alternating between such egg dishes as veggie frittatas, eggs Benedict or Florentine or Ramona's Beneflor combo, or Fancy Egg Scramble with cheese, scallions, and fresh dill, and such wheat dishes as fruited Belgian waffles, banana-blueberry or raspberry-almond pancakes, or stuffed French toast.

The Italian-Polish two-room suite with private bath is located in separate second-floor wing featuring William Morris "Vine"-covered walls, Eastlake chairs in matching tapestry, and king-size iron bed. Sitting room has seating,electric fireplace, TV/DVD.

The spacious, elegant Irish Room has a queen-size antique brass bed, an en suite bath with ceramic-tile shower. Wallcoverings are William Morris designs in green. Electric fireplace and white Empire sofa provide comfort, warmth, serenity. TV/DVD.
