Chincoteague, Virginia bed and breakfast: Miss Molly's Inn
Miss Molly's Inn is the island's most authentic Bed and Breakfast. Guests enjoy the wraparound porch, the top deck and a lovely second-floor porch, which have great views of the Chincoteague Channel and Chincoteague Bay.

Guests will certainly notice the Houssier cabinet in the kitchen and the beautiful Morris chair in the parlor -- both of these pieces belonged to Miss Molly Rowley who lived in the house from birth in 1887 till the age of 84. In 1971, she moved to a nursing home in Onancock and lived there until her death in 1977.

Afternoon tea is served to the public most days in the Tea Room. Seatings are at 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. Along with "World-Famous" scones, jam and cream, other tea-time delights may include trifle, Victoria sponge cake with strawberries and cream, "stuffed monkeys", apple cake and fruit tarts.
Area Attractions and Activities:
There is a marvelous new visitor's center on Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge. This is the Bateman Center (opened in October 2003), and it is definitely a must for every visitor to Chincoteague and Assateague. Children and adults alike will delight in the wild horses that roam the island, (please don't touch them!) and the small Sika deer and countless species of birds.

On the beaches, there is nothing to buy or rent - a refreshing change! The beach is unspoiled and offers miles and miles of white sand.
Services:
Sitting room, bicycles, beach items, library and garden
Most Popular Rooms:
The Marguerite Henry Room: Where Miss Henry stayed while writing "Misty of Chincoteague" in 1946. Lovely, large and airy room with antique furniture, king bed, private bathroom with tub & shower.
The Bay Room: Another favorite. It has five windows on five different sides and a large comfy window seat. The ash dresser is of particular note. When they married, Miss Molly and her one-armed husband, Mr W.E. Davis, moved into this room.
