Bed and Breakfast Description

Champlain Vistas, overlooking beautiful Lake Champlain, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a landmark dating back to the late 1700s. Located in Willsboro, three miles from the Essex Ferry to Vermont, the Vistas offer guests spectacular views of the lake, Vermont's Green Mountains and New York's Adirondacks.

The 12-room Victorian farmhouse boasts 2 sun porches for relaxing and reading, formal dining room with fireplace, charming farm kitchen with working wood burning stove, spacious living room with large field stone fireplace, piano, and entertainment center. The wrap-around porch provides a comfortable setting for watching a glorious sun/moonrise.

Guest rooms as well as living and dining rooms have hardwood floors and antique furnishings throughout. Sleeping rooms are light and airy and offer lake or mountain views; private or shared bath accommodations are available. After a good night's sleep, guests are treated to a home cooked breakfast.

Go back in time as you explore the buildings of this once vast farming complex: the horse and hay barns, granary, smoke house, windmill, and well house. A small art gallery is housed in the old granary, and guests may use fitness-training equipment, in a delightful pastoral setting. The back of the farmhouse reveals a breathtaking view of the Adirondack High Peaks, glowing fields with an extra touch of beauty added to the peaceful landscape, and a golf practice fairway. A lovely walking area and beach are nearby.

Downstairs and upstairs - cozy bedrooms, with queen, twin, double beds -private and shared baths.
