 Our spring blossoms with trillium, rhododendron, mountain laurel and dogwood; summer brings brilliant days and cool nights, while fall dazzles with the yellows, rusts and scarlets of our own hardwood forest. We are home to woodpeckers and hawks, chipmunks, raccoons and deer. Enjoy the rustic elegance and the individual personality of your room or suite. Chairs by the fire, wonderfully comfortable beds with country quilts, personally controlled heating/air conditioning and private baths welcome you in every room. Some rooms indulge you further, with whirlpool tubs, ceiling fans, VCRs (and video tapes), separate sitting rooms and outside decks for relaxing on a sunny afternoon. Morning begins in our glass-walled dining room looking out through the wildflowers. Our full breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 AM and includes Becky's baked oatmeal, fresh fruits and muffins, breakfast meats, and eggs. Fine dining is available Friday & Saturday with 24 hour advance reservations. Glowing candlelight, quiet music and Virginia wines provide the perfect accompaniment to the regional gourmet entrees served. Menus change to reflect the best of each season and always include an entree for vegetarians. Casual lighter fare dinner available most weekdays. Snack Baskets available all week. Area Attractions and Activities: Nature trails, Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, Appalachian Trail, canoeing, tubing, horseback riding, Lexington, museums, carriage rides, wonderful shops, Staunton, Charlottesville, Monticello and Appomattox. Crabtree Falls (the highest waterfall east of the Mississippi), Natural Bridge, Goshen Pass, antiquing, crafts, wineries and outlet shops.
