Bed and Breakfast Description

Austin, Texas bed and breakfast: Star of Texas Inn

We offer a nice place for travelers of all types, whether honeymooners, business travelers or folks just getting away. We have a large wraparound porch and above that, a balcony that overlooks the neighborhood. Either is perfect for lazy afternoons.

We have highspeed wireless Internet connection available to our guests and several of our rooms have desks for doing work. We also have a parlor for meeting people or just hanging out.

Breakfast is either made-to-order or served as a buffet. Sylvia usually puts out a sweet dish, a savory dish and fresh fruit, orange juice, bagels and more. Of course, we serve hot coffee!

Area Attractions and Activities:

We are centrally located in Austin. There are museums, bars, live music venues, a major park with a great hike and bike trail and a couple of very nice restaurants within an easy walk. There are also crafts, shopping, bookstores and lots of restaurants nearby.

For a small cab fare (or bus ride!), you can get to the heart of the entertainment district for more music than you can shake a stick at. All of Austin is within 20 minutes of driving from our location.

The Texas Hill Country starts next to Austin. Towns like Fredricksburg, Greune and Marble Falls are a short drive away. Austin is the perfect place to start a trip to see the most beautiful part of Texas.
