There are 11 rooms in 3 luxuriously restored buildings: Historic Kuebler Waldrip Haus 1847 (5000-sq. ft.). A German pioneer limestone and hand-hewn timber log home built by Andreas and Katherine Pape of Hanover, Germany. 5 rooms for 10-16 people. Historic Danville Schoolhouse 1863 (2500-sq. ft.). An original Texas schoolhouse, named for Texas Ranger Daniel Murchison, was moved to our ranch from Solms in Comal County in 1990. 5 rooms for 10-16 people. Deer Haven (1,000-sq. ft.). A cozy 3 bedroom cottage (sleeps 2-6) with tile floors, a shower/Jacuzzi bath, living room, and kitchen. Amenities include Early Bird coffee, tea, and juice, delicious candlelight breakfast brunch, 11 beautiful rooms, suites & cottage with heat/AC, TV/VCR, kitchens, book & video library, Private baths (4 with Jacuzzis), children welcome, complimentary snacks, drinks, and Blue Bell, meeting rooms (corporate, church, other), Internet and email access and fax. Near great restaurants, live entertainment, museums, antique and specialty shopping, rafting, tubing, rivers, fishing, wineries, Schlitterbahn, golf, tennis, T-Bar-M, Natural Bridge Caverns, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. Area Attractions and Activities: Gruene (an historic district in the city limits of New Braunfels) is a small but well-known part of New Braunfels. History comes alive in Gruene. The Kuebler Waldrip Haus B&B is located just minutes away. Enjoy live entertainment at Gruene Hall, River Road Ice House, German music at the Friesenhaus Restaurant (starts at 6:30), or FREE music in Landa Park. Water activities include tubing and rafting on the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers, year-round water skiing at the Texas Ski Ranch, River outfitters include Guadalupe River Co., Jerry's Rentals, and Rock'in R River Rides. Don't forget Canyon Lake with the restaurant at the Canyon Lake Marina, boating, sailing, and water skiing. Other activities include specialty and antique shopping, Landa Park (a miniature train, walking trails, & swimming pools), museums, Schliberbahn Water Park, and the best German festival in Texas - Wurstfest. Most Popular Rooms: Katherine's Attic: A large upstairs room (sleeps 2-5) with the original 1847 cedar hand-hewn timber logs, a king width bed and 3 twins, TV/VCR, a bath with a whirlpool/shower, dressing area, and a shared hall kitchenette and porch. Kuebler's Kastle: A beautiful large downstairs room that has a comfortable sitting area with chairs by the windows, a counter and desk area, and ceramic tile floor. Private entrance, a king width bed, heat/AC, ceiling fans, two showers and private bath. Check In Instructions: We will be happy to accommodate a late check-in. If checking in after 9:00 PM, we will leave a note on the front door and a key under the front door mat so that you can check-in at your leisure. |
