Juneau, Alaska bed and breakfast: Alaska's Capital Inn
Awarded Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal's 2003 Book of Lists Award "Best In Alaska," and the 2002 Award of Excellence from the Historic Preservation Committee for the restoration of the Inn.

In 1906, Gold Rush pioneer John Olds built one of the grandest homes in all of Juneau. High on the hillside, with a commanding view of the harbor and downtown area, the house reflects the affluence of the family after the Gold Rush.

Furnished in Mission or Craftsman decor, the rich wood furniture is warm and inviting in the parlor. Limited edition artwork by Alaskan artists are displayed throughout the Inn. Rooms have either maple, fir, or Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, with plush wool area rugs.

Breakfast is served every morning in the dining room around the twelve-foot quarter-sawn oak table. We serve a full and hearty breakfast to get you on your way. Local seafood is often on the menu. Wine and refreshments in the afternoon.

We are conveniently located adjacent to the State Capitol Building, and it is an easy stroll to all local attractions, office buildings, shops and fine eating establishments. Your stay with us will be a true bed and breakfast experience.
Area Attractions and Activities:
World-class salmon fishing and wildlife viewing are at your finger tips. Climb and hike through the largest temperate rain forest in the northern hemisphere. Kayak to the face of tidewater glaciers, or take one of the many boating adventures that are offered everyday. See glaciers and mountain tops unlike anywhere else in the world, or ride the tram to the top of Mount Roberts just to take in the view.

Local as well as other artists from around the state are featured in the many shops and galleries within the historic district. All types of eating establishments cater to everyone's taste and budget, with seafood specialties year round.
