 Cape Charles House B&B on Virginia's Eastern Shore invites you to escape to a slower pace and a step back in time. Marvel at the east coast's most beautiful sunsets. The guest rooms have individual bathrooms, sitting areas, ceiling fans and climate control. Selected fabrics and furnishings breath new life into the sunny, many windowed rooms. High ceilings, original moldings and doors help maintain the historic integrity. Each room portrays a personality of enormous charm, filled with antiques, oriental rugs, and unusual collectibles. Gourmet breakfasts are unique and delicious, since Carol has taught cooking and written for a national cooking magazine. Bruce and Carol Evans have managed to "pepper" their full-time Innkeeping job with community involvement and pursuit of sharing gifts and talents. After a restoring night's sleep, awaken to the delicious full gourmet breakfast graciously served in the large formal dining room. For the health conscious, special dietary needs can be discussed when making reservations. Since Carol has taught microwave cooking and written for a national cooking magazine, each morning's meal is unique and beautifully presented. Herbs from Bruce's well-tended garden are used in the kitchen of Cape Charles House and specially blended coffees and daily baked breads add to your culinary experience. Care is taken to make your stay restful, pleasant, and memorable by paying particular attention to detail. Area Attractions and Activities: Since each season on the Eastern Shore has its unique natural splendor, Cape Charles House is open year 'round for your enjoyment. Borrow our sand chairs for a day or take a stroll through town to the galleries and antique and gift shops. Fishing, clamming and crabbing are other activities to be enjoyed out of doors; hardier souls may desire advance reservations for guided fishing, hunting or shooting expeditions. Boating excursions on the bay, around the barrier islands, or to Tangier Island are available. Chincoteague and Assateague Islands are only a short drive away. Other outdoor pursuits include golf at Bay Creek and Arnold Palmer's World Class PGA Signature Golf Course and visits to the Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge or The Nature Conservancy. Nearby Kiptopeake State Park, located at the tip of the Eastern Shore, is one of the state's newer parks. The Eastern Shore is well known for bird watching and naturalists as a migratory path for birds and butterfly.
