Our Charlottesville Bed and Breakfast is beautifully restored and lovingly appointed, the Mark Addy beckons with the romance and richness of a bygone era. Charming and luxurious rooms offer elegant comfort, serene privacy and incredible views of the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding Nelson County.

You will discover that this bed & breakfast inn offers lodging in the most elegant tradition. A first floor guest room is handicapped accessible.

During your stay at our Virginia Bed and Breakfast, travel the scenic, winding roads of our beautiful countryside dotted with family orchards, vineyards and wineries, unique antique shops, mountain crafts, artists' studios, farmers markets and an opportunity for diverse outdoor recreational pursuits. After a day of exploring Mr. Jefferson's country, skiing, hiking or hot air ballooning, return to your romantic escape. Relax on one of our six porches, reminisce, read a book in the hammock, watch the sunset with a glass of wine or a cocktail.

A Jacuzzi awaits after a long day of skiing the slopes, & finally, by reservation, a la carte dining is available. The Mark Addy Inn is open to the public for dinner, Wednesday-Sunday evenings, with brunch on Sunday.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Wintergreen Resort, horseback riding, shopping in Nellysford, extensive history of three Presidents, Thomas Jefferson's Monticello & the University of VA, James Monroe's Ash Lawn, and James Madison's Montpelier.

Hot air balloon rides can be arranged. There's hiking, winery tours & festivals, the scenic Blue Ridge Skyline Parkway is breathtaking any time of the year. If you are adventurous, you will always find plenty to do as a guest of the inn. There is also the serenity of just sitting on any one of the three porches looking at the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Mark Addy hosts many weddings, anniversaries, & parties. The restaurant, serving a la carte dining, is open Tuesday through Saturday with brunch on Sunday. Our guests have the option of a dinner basket Sunday though Monday evenings.

Most Popular Rooms:

Kensington: English Country setting with magnificent views, king size antique bed, soothing forest green walls with crisp white trim, and a large bath with whirlpool tub - a favorite place to watch the sunset.

Tiger Lily: This room is decorated with the vibrant colors and mystery of India; it houses the majority of our elephant collection. This deluxe room decorated in English Raj has a king size bed and a whirlpool tub with shower.
