Lazyjack Inn on Dogwood Harbor

Tilghman Island, Maryland.

Our c. 1855 waterfront home, located in the village of unspoiled Tilghman Island Maryland, is within walking distance to fine restaurants and shops. The Lazyjack Inn has earned a reputation as one of the Eastern Shore's finest getaway destinations.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Tilghman Island, Maryland bed and breakfast: Lazyjack Inn on Dogwood Harbor

Now lovingly restored after hurricane Isabel's visit in September of 2003 the Lazyjack Inn has begun another 150 years watching over the waters of historic Dogwood Harbor and the remaining fleet of Skipjacks. As our guests you will be able to experience the history of the Chesapeake.

The Lazyjack Inn now offers a wonderful mix of the old and the new, from 1800's ceiling beams to complimentary DSL wireless access. Guests can enjoy a wonderful variety of art, family antiques, fireplaces, Persian carpets and even a punch bowl full of whimsical "sea glass ", all providing "casual elegance on Maryland's Eastern Shore".

Your days at the Lazyjack begin with the sun peeking over the horizon, presenting a palette of hot pinks, and lavenders... and then the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with that of hot breads baking. Breakfast, a legend on the Island, is served in the Harbor Room, offering a dynamic view over Dogwood Harbor and the Choptank River.

Our guest rooms are comfortably elegant, appointed with personal treasures and original art with our guests' comfort in mind. Spectacular water views abound from the East Room and the luxurious Nellie Byrd Suite as well as our sunny back deck and the Harbor Room where a gourmet breakfast is served including freshly baked specialties.
