Lazyjack Inn on Dogwood Harbor
Tilghman Island, Maryland.
Lovingly restored after hurricane Isabel in September 2003, The Lazyjack Inn is "A welcome reprieve from the ordinary,". This c. 1855 Colonial Waterman's home has earned a reputation as one of the finest destinations on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Bed and Breakfast Description

The Lazyjack Inn now offers a wonderful mix of the old and the new, from 1800's ceiling beams to complimentary DSL wireless access. Guests can enjoy a wonderful variety of art, family antiques, fireplaces, Persian carpets and even a punch bowl full of whimsical "sea glass ", all providing "casual elegance on Maryland's Eastern Shore".
Captain Mike and Carol Richards have built a reputation of offering one of the finest water front lodging destinations and experiences available on the Eastern Shore. While staying at the Lazyjack Inn you will experience gracious hospitality, comfortable, spacious accommodations and an unsurpassed attention to detail.
On your way to the Lazyjack Inn you will pass through the quaint town of St. Michaels, MD. A wonderful waterfront community and home of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Another few miles of scenic drive and you will begin to catch glimpses of the Chesapeake Bay to your right. As you cross over the drawbridge to Tilghman Island you will be greeted by the charm of a true waterman's village.
Nestled between the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and the magnificent Choptank River, Tilghman Island is situated on the tip of the Bay Hundred Peninsula of what is now Talbot County, Maryland. Vacationing on this Chesapeake Bay Island is nothing new. In the 1800's, when this waterman's home was built, visitors arrived by steamboat to enjoy the laid back life and the local seafood.
