Alamoosook Lakeside Inn
Orland, Maine.
Off a quiet dirt road, on the shore of Alamoosook Lake, deep in the heart of Downeast & Acadia Maine, you’ll find the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn — the perfect Maine inn to escape from it all.
Bed and Breakfast Description

In the morning, a delicious full breakfast prepared by our chef awaits you—often featuring ingredients from the inn’s herb garden or from the local blueberry fields.
This Maine inn is the perfect setting for banquets, meetings, retreats of all types, receptions, and weddings in Maine. Our 150-seat lakeside dining room has spectacular views of picturesque Alamoosook Lake. Our inn provides a warm and cozy atmosphere to make any event special.
Alamoosook Lake's peaceful habitat is home to a diverse wildlife population including loons, bald eagles, ospreys, cormorants, deer, otter, beaver and even a passing black bear. Many guests have said that it feels like being in the middle of a nature preserve!
Area Attractions and Activities:
The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn is a quintessential secluded retreat. The Inn is conveniently situated near many of Maine's most popular attractions including Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Penobscot Bay, and Belfast. We specialize in helping you plan a vacation you will remember for a lifetime. We are happy to help you plan a day of outdoor adventure, sight-seeing, shopping or just finding that special place to get a lobster dinner.
Particularly adventurous guests may want to kayak to the Craig Brook Fish Hatchery—at 131 years old, it’s the oldest hatchery on the East Coast! Also nearby is the Great Pond Mountain Wildlands Preserve, loaded with hiking trails. In autumn, as the fall foliage reflects brilliantly off its tranquil surface, the lake is transformed by a truly sensational blaze of colors that you won’t want to miss. In the winter months, ice-skating and ice fishing take center stage. Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the surrounding area are also quite popular and there are an abundance of trails leading right off the property.
Services:
Fishing, skating, x-country skiing, stone fireplace, swimming, gardens, sun porch, rec room, wedding
Most Popular Rooms:
