Area Attractions and Activities: Go whale watching and deep see fishing on Passamaquoddy Bay. Enjoy scenic air flights. Catch a ferry to Canada's Campobello Island and explore the Roosevelt's "Summer Cottage". Pursue the area's rich maritime history by visiting local history museums and by using self-guided history trail and historic buildings walking guides. Explore the area's unique natural phenomena such as the "Old Sow Whirlpool", Reversing Falls, and 18-28 foot tides. Hike trails on the shore, where you can still find solitude on a lovely undeveloped coastline. Visit Eastport for its renowned "Old Home Week Fourth of July" celebration and it annual "Salmon Festival" on the 2nd week-end in Sept.
