An accomplished gentleman of the press, Mr. Weiss became the editor and publisher of the city's first successful newspaper, the Duluth Herald.

The house was built for his wife Mary in 1895. Both he and his wife were prominent civic leaders, giving much of their time and talents to community interests.

Recline with a classic in the library, beautifully decorated with cherry wood and tiled fireplace. The parlor is heavily adorned in exquisite oak, surrounding a marble fireplace.
