Bed and Breakfast Description

Franklin, North Carolina bed and breakfast: Franklin Terrace

Stepping onto the screened veranda of the Franklin Terrace is a Welsian journey back in time. Although there is only a screen separating you from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a small town, you will be transported to another era, when Southern hospitality was a lifestyle and the only bustling you would find in the household was the hostess seeing to the comfort of her quests.

After a good night's rest, guests are treated to a breakfast that includes the specialty of the house, which is an English muffin with sausage and cheese plus a poached egg on top of it, if you prefer. Many types of fruit, melons, cereals, fresh baked muffins, and croissants. Home made breads such as Banana Nut, lemon, pumpkin and plenty of home-made jellies and jams and other delicacies. You can greet the morning sun in the beautiful, window-lined dining room, with views of the courtyard flower garden, alive with birds and butterflies, and complete with fountains. If you listen carefully, you can almost hear the swish of crinoline. Come experience it yourself, while the era still lives.
