Bed and Breakfast Description

The B&B is named after the second owner and was built in 1864 in the Greek Revival architecture style. This wonderful country home has been tastefully renovated and has a relaxing ambiance with fireplaces for warming, porches and garden hideaways for pondering, an outdoor hot tub for stargazing, and guestrooms with private baths and luxurious amenities for pampering.

We’re open year round so you can take in nature’s fall palette of colors on the hillside; enjoy a warm fire after playing in winter’s wonderland, experience spring’s awakening or the full blossom of summer at Rufus Tanner House B&B.

For your comfort all four guestrooms have in-suite baths (one with a large spa tub), queen size beds and air conditioning (two rooms have a natural gas fireplace). Fresh flowers, wine glasses, aromatherapy, candies, and more add a touch of elegance to each guestroom.

Guests are welcome to enjoy a breakfast of fresh fruit, hot home-baked goods, and a delicious entree served in the dining room, their room or outside on the porch.
