 One of the oldest homes in Bird-in-Hand, the Mill Creek Homestead was once home to the owner of a saw mill along Mill Creek. Much of the same life-style can still be experienced today due to the Amish influence. Retaining its old world charm, the home has been renovated to provide all the comforts of the modern world. Guests enjoy warm Christian hospitality and knowledge of the area to assist in planning your day, reserving a table at a local favorite restaurant, or pointing you to nearest outlet, farmer's market, or quilt shop This beautiful historic stone home offers 4 tastefully decorated guest rooms with private baths, some with fireplaces. Luxurious queen sized beds provide a restful slumber in three rooms while one room offers two twin beds/or one king bed. Unwind in a number of common areas with fireplace, books, games, puzzles and cable tv and vcr/dvd player. A rocker on the front porch is a popular place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea before or after breakfast in the dining room and to listen to the clippity-clop of horse and buggies. The aromas of freshly ground coffee, and Lori's popular homemade pastries, coffee cakes, muffins, danish are just a sampling of how guests are coaxed from their comfy beds each morning. Enjoy warm fellowship around the dining table with other guests! The beautifully landscaped grounds & deck around the in-ground pool (open May-Sept.) & outdoor Jacuzzi spa (open year round) offer additional escapes from reality. Area Attractions and Activities: Antiques, quilts, museums, Amish farmland and attractions, Dutch Wonderland, wineries, near Hershey, Longwood Gardens and Gettysburg. There's so much to see and do in the area, we'll be happy to assist you with your itinerary. Why not make your vacation more relaxing by using our inn as your home base, since we are convenient for short day trips to many other nearby sites.
