Bed and Breakfast Description

Mountain Dale Farm attracts a variety of people from families wanting a relaxed vacation to nature enthusiasts to intrepid travelers looking to explore beautiful Central Pennsylvania. As each season unfolds, a new list of possibilities emerges to keep the restless busy while those seeking peace and solitude can relax and watch the surrounding mountains change their colors.
The 175 acre farm is a combination of tillable, wooded and pasture lands that are bordered with thousands of acres of state forest lands. Days may be filled with fishing, hiking, paddle boating and farm activities. Sheep, pigs, chickens, cattle, geese, goats, ducks, horses, rabbits and peacocks are fed twice a day and guests are welcome to help. Wildlife from the surrounding forest is often seen. Evenings can be spent swapping stories with friends on a porch swing or stargazing.
The year-round facility boasts a large meeting hall, four efficiency cabins, three dormitory cabins, three forest cabins and a renovated 200 year old log house. Four rooms are available in the farmhouse. Meals, created with fresh, local produce, are available if schedules permit. The kitchen equipment found in most of the cabins offer guests the opportunity to develop their own vacation schedule.

Mountain Dale Farm is located in the heart of Pennsylvania. It's a very rural area, yet there's a wealth of day trip opportunities only minutes away. Explore the local Amish culture, swim for free at two community pools, or shop at antique and country stores. There are also 18-hole golf course, state parks, and nationally known trout fishing spots.
Mountain Dale is a real working farm. Bordered by thousands of acres of state forest land, the property includes 175 acres of wooded, tillable and pasture land. We grow a variety of crops, such as hay and corn.
Your time at the Farm is what you make of it…there are no set schedules and activities. Most guests come here to commune with Nature and enjoy a relaxing change of pace. If you'd like to explore the local area, an abundance of day trip opportunities await.
Bird watching is a popular pastime. We raise a variety of animals, and visitors (especially children) often pitch in to help tend to them!

Log house: 200 year-old log house fully furnished, four bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen.
Five efficiency cottages and three dormitory cottages, all with kitchen and bath. Three forest cabins with outdoor cooking and privies. Four rooms in farmhouse, two with private bath.
