Bed and Breakfast Description

Known as a "Haven in the Hills" this Western-style farmhouse and surrounding thirteen acres were a girls' summer camp for more than sixty years. The main lodge was built in 1902, and has a Texas Historical commission medallion.

Experience a quiet privacy in one of the two air-conditioned cottages that feature kitchenettes and wood-burning stoves. The innkeepers offer a morning meal in the main house dining area or wherever desired, even breakfast in bed. Tennis courts, a pool and a pavilion provide pleasant diversions.

True country living can be yours! Come to Idlewilde B&B for a Hill Country experience in the secluded hills right on the edge of beautiful downtown Comfort.

You'll find yourself gradually relaxing as you approach our little "Haven in the Hills" nestled in this pastoral valley only minutes away from the bustle of San Antonio. It's easy to forget how close the city is when you get settled and begin the adventure.

Fiesta Texas (large theme park), Sea World, tremendous antique shopping in Comfort and surrounding towns, "Bat" tunnel, and longhorn cattle are just some of the many attractions you'll find close at hand.

Lighthouse Cottage: This cottage has been romanticized with the feel of the sea. Lighthouse pictures and decor give the sense of fresh calm and safety. French doors lead to a deck which offers a peaceful view of the surrounding woods full of deer.
