Cottages and suites in a centrally located shady, quiet retreat. Close, yet wonderfully removed from Maui's resort beachfront crowds. The Banyan B&B simply overflows with peace and Hawaii-ana including a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, yoga studio and gardens.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Giant banyan, monkeypod and jacaranda trees crate a peaceful, shady oasis amidst the fruit trees, flowers and sunny, wide open lawns. Several swings and hammocks hang from the trees offering comfortable private places around our 2 acre property. Our 50 foot swimming pool and Jacuzzi is for the private use of our guests. Beautiful, large yoga and meditation studio available for groups and retreats. A continental breakfast featuring fresh fruit, muffin and juice is served every morning.

The historic plantation property is also known as the "Banyan Tree House" and was originally built in 1927. Ideal for groups and retreats our property has 7 rental units including the 3 bedroom plantation house which has a spacious living room area, huge kitchen, dining room and game lanai.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Banyan Bed and Breakfast Inn has an ideal central location for touring Maui. Just across a pineapple field is the historic cowboy town and favorite local hangout of Makawao. Shops, restaurants, art galleries, food and health stores, spas, library and more can all be found in this friendly little town. Also 7 miles down the hillside from the Banyan B&B is the small, historic sugar town of Paia. Internationally famous for the North Shore surfing and windsurfing, Paia town is central to Ho'okipa, Spreklesville and Baldwin beaches.

Kahului with Maui's main airport (OGG), and major shopping centers, is about a 20 minute drive away. Kihei and the ever popular south shore are 40 minutes away. Lahaina and Ka'anapali are an hour away.

Haleakala National Park is an hour's drive up the mountain. A fantastic place to go for a day of hiking or even just to watch the widely acclaimed sunrises and sunsets!

The Ginger Cottage has 2 entrances, a living room, 2 large beds, a generous kitchenette and 2 private bathrooms- 1 with a roll-in shower. It has extra wide doorways and plenty of space in the room. Ginger Cottage is ideal for guests who need wheelchairs.

Gardenia Cottage has 2 entrances, private backyard lanai, a full kitchen including oven and a full size refrigerator. The queen and single sized beds sit in opposite corners of the large room. Private bathroom with bathtub.
