 Ambrosia Historic Bed & Breakfast Retreat offers quiet sophistication, historic architecture, and every modern convenience available. Heated tile floors, jetted tubs for two, rain showers, feather beds, and even cozy robes and slippers. Enjoy a relaxing time in our guest lounge, or enjoy the afternoon air on our veranda and watch the horse-drawn carriages go by. We offer a four-course, gourmet breakfast complimented with organic fair trade coffee, a variety of teas, and fresh juice. An example of our breakfast may include a fresh seasonal fruit plate with French vanilla yogurt, warm ciabatta bread fresh from the oven and served with fruit preserves, smoked salmon and asparagus crepes with a butter herb sauce and fresh basil, and creme brulee. Area Attractions and Activities: Downtown Victoria offers an impressive array of fine dining, unique shopping destinations, and is alive with street theatre and local artisans in the spring and summer months. High tea is a must while visiting, either at the Empress or one of the many fine tea rooms in the city. Beacon Hill Park located 1/2 block from our doorstep offers the opportunity to enjoy a picnic, feed the ducks and watch the herons. Located in Victoria, the Royal BC Museum ranks as one of the best museums in North America. The British Wax Museum and the Maritime Museum are also very popular attractions. Victoria offers some of the best Whale Watching opportunities in the world. See Orca, Grey and Minke whales during the Whale Watching season, in addition to other wildlife such as Bald Eagles and Herons.
