Located right on the beach, this enchanting bed and breakfast offers a wide variety of things to do, from sunbathing to fishing to just plain relaxing. Relax in style, sinking your feet in the white sands outside your room. Relax in luxury, with breakfast delivered to your door. Relax in the natural beauty of Amelia Island.

The historic center of Fernandina Beach lies just minutes away, where fine dining and shopping await. Amelia Island also offers activities for any taste, with cultural events, adventure and athletic opportunities, as well natural wonders and beauty, so whether guests visit for a relaxing escape or an exciting exploration, everyone will enjoy the romance and the wonder of this enticing beach retreat.

The inn began when David and Susan Caples bought the building in 1981 and remodeled extensively, creating a rustic elegance with a strong historical and nautical personality. Regardless of its purpose, the house has always been a retreat and a place for comfort in its natural ocean beauty.

In 2008, the inn changed hands and the entire exterior was renovated to a cottage-by-the-sea style. An new ocean side deck provides the perfect place for an evening cocktail while relaxing and enjoying the sounds of the sea.

Amelia Island is a beautiful barrier island with the magical beach forrests, sand dunes and spectacular beach and marsh views. You can find many things to do if you want to be active. There is wonderful bycycling, fishing, golfing, tennis, shopping, surfing, waterskiing, parasailing, kayaking, along with sight seeing and historical sites.

The main ingredient at our Inn is the beach and lounging around getting your tan perfected, or walking on the beach and adding to your shell collection. Relaxing is BIG at the Amelia Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast, with beach chairs and beach umbrellas that make your stay comfortable.

Most Popular Rooms:

Governor's Suite: Our largest, with 2 bedrooms and a huge living room/dining area.

Admiral's Suite: Light and airy, this room has partial wooden walls, tile, Jacuzzi tub. It has a separate entrance and private courtyard. There is a queen bed and a sleeper sofa.
