Acacia House provides a peaceful & private base for the discerning guest traveling for personal or professional reasons in or around Oakland, California. We are located in the upscale Rockridge community convenient to cafes, restaurants, shopping, museums, theaters, University of California, California College of Arts & Crafts, Holy Names College, Mills College, Children's Hospital, recreational facilities, the Chabot Observatory, sports arenas, tennis courts,

Near public transportation (Rockridge Bart Station & AC Transit), and accessible to downtown Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, Alameda, San Francisco, Orinda, Lafayette, and Walnut Creek. We are a short drive from the Wine Country.

Acacia House was built in the Italianate style in 1994 and is noted for its magnificent views of the Oakland hills, its soaring ceilings and grand windows. This one of a kind home is graced by native California live oak trees and an occasional acacia. A security gate opens onto a winding walkway with stairs leading you through a hand-made Brazilian cherry and Australian lacewood door into a plant filled atrium adjacent to the Acacia Suite.

Enjoy the utmost in privacy and comfort in this gracious three room ground floor suite
that features a spacious sitting room with wet bar, comfortable sofas, cable television with
VCR, private bath with shower, and private entry. The bedroom is furnished in
Belgian antiques with a queen-sized bed and has a lovely view of the Oakland hills.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Acacia House is situated in the heart of the Rockridge Residential District on Acacia Ave. between Ocean View Dr. and Manchester Dr. east of Broadway. We are conveniently located to downtown Oakland, Piedmont, Berkeley, Emeryville, San Francisco, Orinda, Lafayette, and Walnut Creek.

We're a short walk (9/10 mile) from the Rockridge BART Station and shopping district and 1/2 mile to the Broadway Exit from Highway 24. We are conveniently located near College and Piedmont Avenues shops, cafes, and restaurants. Oakland's College Avenue and Berkeley's gourmet ghetto offer the finest in California cuisine.

Shopping is always fun at the Emery Bay Shopping Center, the Montclair District, or in nearby Walnut Creek. Nearby parks and recreation centers offer hiking, bicycling, rowing, sailing, and other sports related activities.
