Brandon is the “talk of New England.” Home to Warren Kimble, Cafe Provence, Camp Keewaydin, Neshobe Golf Course, Lake Dunmore, Robert Frost Walking Trail and Moosalamoo Wilderness. Middlebury College is 20 minutes away and Shelburne Museum, Pico - Killington, Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains are nearby.     It's hard not to find some recreational activity at any time of the year in Mid Vermont. State Parks on Lake Champlain and Lake Dunmore offer camping, fishing, boating, picnic and recreational areas. The U.S. Forest Service maintains numerous camping, hiking, fishing and hunting areas in the Green Mountain National Forest east of Middlebury.

    Moosalamoo abounds with hiking routes for those who like to blaze their own trails. The Middlebury College Snow Bowl offers challenging downhill skiing, lessons and equipment rental.

    There is no limit to the cultural and entertainment offerings. Visit the Vermont Craft Center in Middlebury's Frog Hollow or individual studios of artists and crafts people such as Warren Kimble.

    History comes alive at the Sheldon Museum, Vermont Folklife Center, DAR Mansion, Rokeby, Chimney Point, Mt. Independence, and the Maritime Museum near Lake Champlain.
