Bed and Breakfast Description

The Cobblestone was designed and built by Anthony Wise, Sr., grandfather of the late Tony Wise, founder of the American Birkebeiner. We are open year round and have five accommodations to choose from.

Fragrant scents of spices and flowers greet you at the door. The community of Birchwood, where the Cobblestone is located, is equally unique, offering many activities to enjoy and sights to see during your stay.

Feel free to browse through our new gift shop overflowing
with north woods charm. The Cobblestone promotes the fine arts and craftmanship of the north woods. Take a piece of Birchwood, the north woods and The Cobblestone B&B home with you!

Area Attractions and Activities:

'The Cobblestone' offers easy access to the many outdoor activities available within the village or the surrounding "Indianhead" country. Locally, there are unique gift shops, ice cream parlors, antique shops, hiking, biking, skiing, and snowmobile trails all within the village limits.

The surrounding area includes championship golfing, dozens of lakes for game or pan fishing as well as pleasure boating. A clean public beach, playground and tennis courts are all close at hand.
