Bed and Breakfast Description

If you live in the mid Atlantic region, you should consider visiting Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and staying at this small private bed and breakfast. Located in the historic district of Harpers Ferry, it is about an hour’s drive from Washington DC, Baltimore and central Maryland, south central Pennsylvania or the northwestern counties of Virginia.

Guests enjoy the bright, airy, climate controlled atmosphere of a building constructed in 1992 to replicate Harpers Ferry’s mid-19th century architectural style. The Inneepers can provide directions to the many things that are available in the area.

Harpers Ferry is famous for John Brown’s raid, the U.S. federal armory originally commissioned by George Washington, and several Civil War battles, which were fought for control of the town. The Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, with its museums, shops and restaurants, is just a short walk from the B&B.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The Appalachian Trail and local National Park trails provide hiking & the C&O Canal Path provides biking.
There are local golf courses to play. There is also fishing, rafting and tubing on the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers.
Occasional band concerts and scheduled ghost tours are also available. We have wonderful river and mountain scenery, fall foliage and bird watching. There are many good shops and restaurants in the historic district and in the surrounding communities. Harpers Ferry is just a great place to relax and get away from it all. We are really just a short drive from Washington DC, Baltimore and Northern Virginia, but we are worlds away from their stress.
