Alaska Host Bed and Breakfast opened its doors in 1996. Your hosts, Kathy and Jim Huston, live in a spacious home on two-hundred acres with a private lake and hiking trails. Moose and other Alaskan wildlife are frequent visitors to the peaceful estate.

Bed and Breakfast Description

There are many lakes and great fishing spots in Willow. Hatcher Pass has a beautiful view, gold mining and Independence Mine, a state historic site. Denali National Park is just three hours away. It makes our bed and breakfast a great place to stay before or after a trip to Denali Park.

During your stay you're invited to relax in our family room, located on the first level and featuring a pool table, satellite TV, kitchen, dining room and windows with a great view of the lake mountains and wildlife.

Guestrooms are located on both levels. There are two sitting areas for guests with a perfect view for watching local wildlife. Laundry facilities are within a half mile.

Everyday you will be served a real Alaska style breakfast from Kathy's kitchen. Our guests never leave the table hungry. Breakfast may include samples of Alaska's big game delicacies, home baked breads and pastries.

Kathy takes walks around the two mile hiking trail daily you can join her and learn a little about the area and maybe even see a moose. Or take the paddle boat or canoe into the lake for enjoyment. sit on the patio and enjoy the view.

Our Alaska room is one of a kind. Imagine having your own outhouse with metal roof right inside your room. Feel the authentic Alaska spirit of the homesteader in our lovely room.Take all the pictures you want-it is something you will want to remember.

Whale room has two queen beds and the bath room is like being in the woods surrounded by trees and flowers. A very long piece of baleen is mounted on the wall along with a king salmon. Great view of lake and garden area.
