Bed and Breakfast Description

Kittery, Maine bed and breakfast: Portsmouth Harbor Inn & Spa

On the hill above the river, a historic inn looks out to sea. The Portsmouth Harbor Inn & Spa, a lovely Victorian bed and breakfast, invites you to step back in time to days of a slower pace.

Built in 1879, the inn offers five luxurious rooms, each with private baths, modern amenities, and unique period antiques. Most rooms have waterfront views, and the salt air promises sweet dreams and hearty appetites.

Here, you can sink into beds with thick comforters, enjoy homemade gourmet breakfasts and lazy afternoon teas. The smell of cookies baking often wafts up from the kitchen, and guests are welcome to partake while they unwind from their day.

Come enjoy The Portsmouth Harbor Spa, a place of ultimate relaxing and healing, in the attached converted barn. Sea breezes caress you while the tantalizing smells of rose, lavender and calendula perfume the air.

Portsmouth Harbor Inn and Spa has been selected as one of Travelocity's "Local Secrets, Big Finds" list for 2007, and an Editor's choice for 2008 by Yankee Magazine.
