![]() The Inn has 14 newly renovated rooms, and the River House next door has 12 rooms. All have private baths and A/C. The Riverview Restaurant at the Inn is well known for its outstanding meals. Lovely settings, old-time flavor, warm hospitality, beautiful quilts... these are the hallmarks of our 175-year-old country inn. Rooms are furnished with traditional New England country pieces and offer double, queen, or king beds. All the rooms have private baths and air conditioning. Some rooms have Jacuzzi bathtubs. For those that desire standard lodging, we also offer 12 motel rooms with either two double beds or a queen bed, cable TV, refrigerators, air conditioning and balconies overlooking the Ammonoosuc River. Suites are available that can accommodate up to six guests. You are invited for dinner at our Riverview Restaurant, featuring fresh food carefully and lovingly prepared by your host and award-winning chef, Victor Hofmann. His European training is reflected in the delicious specials from Switzerland. Before or after dinner, make new friends or relax with your favorite beverage in the Pierce Room, our full service lounge. Golf Packages available. Area Attractions and Activities: Golf, hiking, walking, fishing, mountain biking, shopping for antiques, crafts and outlet items, swimming, boating, relaxing, moose watching, birding, sightseeing, dog sledding, sleigh rides, skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing. Enjoy summer theater, concerts and wildflowers. We are close to Franconia Notch with Cannon Mountain, the Flume and the site of the fallen Old Man of the Mountain, Mt. Washington Cog Railway and North Conway Outlet Shopping. Services: Restaurant, common room with fireplace and cable TV, free wireless internet access in lobby and bar Most Popular Rooms: Room 9: A large room, with a canopy king size bed, retains its old charm. From the sitting area you can observe the squirrels and birds in the ancient maple tree. Mural paintings and a whirlpool tub complete a cozy bathroom. Room 37 is in the annex and has the best view of the river either from the window or the balcony. Queen bed and sitting area, TV and small fridge. |
