Enjoy decadent breakfasts served 7-10 a.m. and 24-hour beverages/snacks. Your rooms offer pillow choices, feather duvets, most rooms have TV/DVD/VCR and movies, phones, Internet, 3 rooms offer in-room Jacuzzis, and two units are guest apartments for extended stays or just more space to live in for your shorter visit.

In the Great Room, feel free to play the piano as long as you don't make the two resident Huskies howl; there are also games and a library of books on Alaska.

Outside, hike on trails in the woods or play tennis, but keep an eye out for moose, eagles, and ptarmigan. Enjoy a glass of wine from the deck: the sunsets are spectacular in corals and pinks against the mountains.

Other services include laundry service while you're out for the day and assistance with reservations for area activities.

The spectacular scenery, lush, green 3000-6000 foot mountains, are a compact mountain ecosystem that give you that away-from-it-all feeling during your 10-mile drive through the pass. It is located just 15 minutes from Alaska Garden Gate B&B.

Your adventures can include canoeing, rafting, climbing, birding, fishing, flightseeing, nearby or back-country hiking, horseback riding, ATV'ing or snowmachining.

Guests-in-the-know use lodging like Alaska Garden Gate B&B in the Mat-Su Valley as "base camp" for travel in our region because of the Valley's affordable rates and lower bed taxes. It's not unusual to stay 4-6+ days in our area and drive to McKinley/Denali, Matanuska Glacier and the National Scenic Byway Glenn Highway #3 or even to day-trip to Anchorage and points south.

Forest Haven: Offering a king-size bed and a deep two-person whirlpool tub, perfect for those who want to experience "the best" during their vacation or longer stay. Kitchen, dining, and living area. Woodstove and large picture windows to the mountains.

Midnight Sun Gardens: Great for families or anyone who likes extra room. Queen-size bed and double futon couch. Lots of room to spread out with full kitchen/dining, as well as living room, and big closets.
