Bed and Breakfast Description

A restored 1740 center chimney Georgian colonial farmhouse, with six working fireplaces. The inn is a bed and breakfast that blends the charm of yesterday with the comforts of today. When you enter the Lower Farm, you step back in time to when the open hearth in the Keeping Room was the center of everyday life.

Featuring four large well appointed guestrooms, each with a modern private bath, working fireplace, and a comfortable sitting area.

Wake up each morning to a full country breakfast, served by candlelight in front of the original hearth. Join us in the afternoon for tea and freshly baked cookies.

Relax on our porch swing, take a walk through our four-acre grounds, admire our lovely gardens or take a nap in our hammock under the pine trees.

Whatever you might choose to do, the warm hospitality you find at The Inn at Lower Farm will keep you coming back season after season.

The Inn at Lower Farm, easily accessible from Interstate 95, is close to all area attractions. Downtown Mystic, with the renowned Mystic Seaport and the world class Mystic Aquarium, is an easy 10 minute drive.

The Inn is also convenient to the quaint seaside village of Stonington and New London, CT. Westerly and Watch Hill, RI, with their acclaimed ocean beaches, are just a short drive away.

Visit Jonathan Edwards winery and Stonington Vineyard. Try your luck at the Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun casinos, which are only minutes away.

The Emily Ayn Room: Features original oak and chestnut wide board flooring, exposed gunstock beams and a working fireplace. A comfortable queen size sleigh bed and a sitting area with a reclining Queen Anne chair. A large private bath completes this room.

The Deacon Gray Room: Has a wonderful view of the Inn's country setting. It is a bright room with original handcarved woodwork in a motif of historic green and gray. A comfortable four poster queen size bed assures a restful night's sleep.
