Exeland, Wisconsin bed and breakfast: Shepherd's Loft
A unique place to rest, relax and renew for just one, two or a whole family.

Our log bed and breakfast is in a quiet rural area, surrounded by a peaceful country setting. Guests can enjoy beautiful evening sunsets as they relax in the gazebo or on the porch swing. Tandem biking, walking on the trail through the woods, or watching the lambs and sheep graze on the ridge are part of our specialties.

Three uniquely decorated rooms are available for our guests on the second floor--the Westridge, Northstar, and Eastlawn--each with a small loft, and of course, a sheepskin rug on the floor. Our rooms intentionally do not have TV's, in order to enhance the peacefulness of our setting.

Coffee, tea, and our special cookies are ready for you when you arrive.

The hearty morning breakfast we serve includes fruit from our mini orchard and Wisconsin maple syrup - served in our dining room, gazebo or in the guestrooms.

In the mini gift shop you will find beautifully framed, signed and numbered prints of artist/calligrapher, Ravonn Kauffman; as well as lovely sheepskin rugs, wool dusters, "Really Wooly" greeting cards from Dayspring, unique toys and gifts with a sheep theme, children's books, wool blankets and more.
Area Attractions and Activities:
Christie Mountain Ski Hill, Blue Hills Cross Country Ski Trail, area snowmobile trails, Windfall Lake, fishing on nearby lakes and rivers, bear and deer hunting in season, Subaru American Birkebeiner Cross Country Ski Race (February), 45 minute drive to Hayward tourist attractions.

Most Popular Rooms:
The Westridge: Our most popular room with a queen bed, private bath with tub/shower, and a reading loft. Decorated in lovely purple and green with a loveseat for relaxing or reading.
The Northstar: The Northstar room is decorated in blues and beige with a beautiful handmade "Lonestar" quilt on the full-size bed. The specialty in this room is a built-in cushioned sitting area with a sleep loft above. Shares bath with Eastlawn Room.
