Prominent contractor Henry L. Vander Horst built Hall House in 1923 as his private residence. He and his wife Lizzie lived here for 25 years. Additional features of this home are the Honduras Mahogany woodwork, Pewabic tile, and the original light fixtures in the dining room, Vander Horst and Rutherford Room.

Today, visitors can still enjoy the Georgian Revival home's exceptional craftsmanship. Vander Horst also left his distinctive mark on the city's historic State Theater, the Rose Street Market and the legendary Marlborough Apartments.


Most Popular Rooms:

The Vander Horst Room: Originally the master bedroom, it features cherry furniture and a four poster queen size bed. Relax by the fireplace or enjoy a soak in the separate, extra deep tub. Bathroom features Pewabic tile and shower with multiple heads.

O'Conner Suite: Nestled at the end of the hall, the O'Connor Suite boasts a corner fireplace, king size bed, a Jacuzzi for two and private bath with shower. A favorite for special occasions.
