Prominent contractor Henry L. Vander Horst built Hall House in 1923 as his private residence. He and his wife Lizzie lived here for 25 years. Additional features of this home are the Honduras Mahogany woodwork, Pewabic tile, and the original light fixtures in the dining room, Vander Horst and Rutherford Room.
Today, visitors can still enjoy the Georgian Revival home's exceptional craftsmanship. Vander Horst also left his distinctive mark on the city's historic State Theater, the Rose Street Market and the legendary Marlborough Apartments.
