Lunenburg Inn
Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
We hope you'll feel at home in our beautifully restored, classic Victorian-style Inn located on the edge of the World Heritage Site of Old Town Lunenburg. We take great pride in our service and the attention to detail.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Operating until October 1979, The Hillside Hotel gained a reputation of serving wholesome home cooked meals and comfortable lodgings to both travelers and Lunenburgers alike. In 1987 the building was rescued from a period of disrepair, restored into the condition befitting a registered heritage property and reopened as The Lunenburg Inn.
The Inn was purchased by Gail and Don Wallace in 1995 with the goal of creating a warm environment where they would want to stay when away from home. They established several principals that are paramount to the operation of our Bed and Breakfast Inn: Cleanliness, Retain the charm and elegance of the Victorian period, and attention to detail - in all facets of service and operations, Well maintained facilities and equipment, High level of guest service - attentive but not intrusive! Deryl and Donna purchased in 2008 and carry on tradition.
We take pride in providing an "at home warmth" for our guests. Our home baked cookies and afternoon refreshments - fresh squeezed lemonade in season - plus our breakfasts are sure to warm the inner self. We are often referred to as "the place with THE breakfast"!
We'll start your day off with a complimentary full breakfast. Today it could be poached eggs, one of our breakfast casseroles, stuffed French toast with maple syrup, or perhaps baked eggs. All breakfasts are served with a variety of seasonal fruit, homebaking and preserves. We have eliminated or reduced saturated and trans fats.

As one of Nova Scotia's most historic and beautiful towns, Lunenburg's colourful waterfront, narrow streets and captivating wooden architecture are all under a 5 minute walk from The Lunenburg Inn. From our front step walk, jog or cycle the 3 kilometre [6k return] trail created from Lunenburg's former rail line, hugging the Back Harbour to return through the historic streetscapes of Old Town.
Here you will discover craft shops, art galleries along with fine restaurants and coffee shops. Located harbourside is the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic and if in port, our pride, the sleek Bluenose II. Whale watching, sailing and harbour tours are all available from the town's waterfront.
