Clematis Inn

Fairport, New York.

A 1900 Historic National Folk House is the perfect lodging for your comfort, when you visit Upstate New York. The warm hospitality of The Clematis Inn will make your stay most Inn-joyable.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Fairport, New York bed and breakfast: Clematis Inn

The Inn, built in 1900, is the former home of James I. George (Uncle Jack). James I. and his brother David S. formed a partnership in 1894 named the George Brothers Nursery where they grew primarily the clematis vine. They dissolved the George Brothers Nursery and each started their own clematis nursery on adjacent properties. The D.S. George Nurseries began in 1894 and was located next to the Inn until 2001.

Susan B. Anthony or Frederick Douglas would feel right at home with us...and young Uncle Jack George would have been delighted to have you swing on his front porch with your companion. Following a tradition of the early 1900s, each bedroom door panel is painted with a clematis flower that matches the beauty and the color of the clematis vine for which the bedroom is named.

Awake refreshed to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or select from an array of herbal teas and juices. Fresh fruit, homemade breads, and a scrumptious breakfast are served in the dining room, solar room, or, if you choose, enjoy your breakfast in bed.
