Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

The Rittenhouse is an elegant Victorian Inn and gourmet restaurant with 20 guestrooms amid two historic Queen Anne-style mansions, and a private cottage. Rooms range from simple elegance to luxury whirlpool suites. Self-guided tours welcome.

All rooms feature a Queen or King bed with private bath. Most have wood-burning fireplaces, Lake Superior views, and/or whirlpool tubs. Roll-aways & sleeper sofas accommodate additional guests for $35/person per night.

Guests begin the day with coffee or tea and a fresh juice. Homebaked muffins and pastries are the perfect vehicle for sampling our very own Rittenhouse Gourmet Jams & Jellies. A fruit course is served along with choice of steel-cut oats and cereals. Servers recite the day's entree specials in mouth-watering detail. Two-course breakfast available for a slight charge.

The Rittenhouse Inn's Landmark Restaurant, famous for it's lavish multi-course meals, offers a host of dining options that change with the seasons. Dishes are created using fresh, local ingredients including Lake Superior fish, farm raised bison and venison, goat cheese, organic vegetables and produce, apples and berries.

The Inn's beverage hostess is a master mixologist, creating delicious signature cocktails using fresh squeezed juices and homemade infusions rather than mixes. A wide range of wine, champagne, beer, and appertifs are available to compliment any meal.

Served daily, breakfast and dinner are open to the public. Reservations are recommended.
