Inn at Fox Hill Farm
Pomfret, Connecticut.
You will feel at home as your hosts embrace you with warm hospitality. A beautiful view, convenient location, peaceful environment, and homey atmosphere make this perfect for your weekend retreat.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Fox Hill Farm is tucked away in the "Quiet Corner of New England," in the little town of Pomfret, Connecticut, which hasn't changed much at all since it was founded in 1713. We are situated off the beaten path, on 75 acres that run alongside Route 169, designated by Congress as one of only 13 National Scenic By-ways in the United States.
Fox Hill Farm has been our family's homestead since it was purchased from Native Americans in 1707. The land has seen us through good times and bad and brought us much peace and joy.
We invite you to become a part of our family's history, and let us share with you the same sense of comfort that we have enjoyed through the years. There are two homes on the estate. Renovations have started on the country farmhouse that will provide the main lodging of a proper inn.
The cottage also comes with French doors, a spectacular lake view, a woodburning stove, an antique clawfoot tub and a king size iron bed. Have we mentioned the two soft cotton robes and the extra soft (threaded with silk) large bath towels? What about the scrumptious homemade breakfasts? Please enjoy the cozy country cottage suite that is your private retreat during your visit to Pomfret.
Area Attractions and Activities:
Whatever your outdoor interest, whether it is long walks, birdwatching, hiking, biking, golfing or cross-country skiing, you can indulge yourself in Pomfret. October in New England has always been known for the fall colors on brilliant display. The countryside is dotted with award winning wineries, gourmet restaurants, charming country stores and antique shops.
While there is much to do close by, we are well situated in New England and not far from many tourist areas and sights. Within comfortable driving distance to Hartford, CT, Boston, MA, Cape Cod, New York City, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Enjoy two first class casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Resorts, just 45 minutes away.
