Be lazy: Try our porch swing, glider, rockers, hammock, and pond float. Breakfast is served buffet/family style in the colonial dining room. Generous bowls of fresh fruit are joined by fresh bread, pies, hot muffins, cereals, granolas, juices, yogurts and Vermont cheeses. Plus a daily hot entree, perhaps omelettes, perhaps waffles or blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, served with tasty sausages or bacon.

After breakfast, if time and weather permit, I'll gladly guide you to walking trails through fields and woods where you can wander for 10 minutes or 2 hours. Wintertime you can borrow snowshoes.

The common rooms include a fireplaced library and a garden room. The library has over 3,000 volumes plus board games and puzzles and windows that view into the garden room with its myriad hanging plants. Sofas, rockers, easy chairs and tables encourage you to gather for games, snacks, afternoon tea or your own evening libations.

During the summer you can try out the hammock and watch hummingbirds compete for food among the many flowers in the window boxes.
