The historic Hotel Charlotte offers guests a choice of 10 individually decorated rooms. With our mix of queen, double and twin beds along with a few connecting rooms, we can accommodate almost any mix or group of travelers.

Sporting an expansive balcony overlooking downtown Groveland, guests often relax with an appetizer and wine or cocktails from our bar while enjoying the cooler evening temperatures. A buffet breakfast featuring our 1/2" thick pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads and more is available each morning to hotel guests. Those leaving early will get a simple to go breakfast.

The Cafe Charlotte offers a delicious dinner menu featuring pastas, chicken, steak and seafood with off-menu specials. We offer choices for vegetarians, vegans and a kids menu. Open 7 days a week for lunch from 11:30am and dinner from 5:30pm, Wine Tasting & Bar.

Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course, Country Club, Airport and Stables are just minutes away. We are perfectly located for pre- or post-Tuolumne River rafting trips, and Yosemite National Park's entrance is just half an hour down the road.

Founded in 1849 during the Gold Rush era, Groveland has something to offer everyone. From our new library and museum, travelers can learn about the region, natural resources and our role in the Gold Rush and Hetch Hetchy projects.

Local stores offer a variety of wares from antiques to second-hand, pet supplies and gifts, plants, knick-knacks and clothing. The region abounds with local artists displaying lovely watercolors, photography, oils, quilts, carvings and so much more! From the Iron Door Saloon, the Victoria Room, Cafe Charlotte, Two Guys Pizza, Stan's BBQ (and more!), dinner offerings extend to whatever your tastes might be.

We are within minutes of world class white water rafting on the Tuolumne, Hiking in the Sierras & Stanislaus National Forest and more. Within an hours drive we have wine tastings, caverns, skiing, snowshoe trails, live theater, big trees, historic Gold Rush villages and more!

Most Popular Rooms:

Room #9: A quiet room with a raised wrought-iron bed and claw foot tub, new wallpaper, wainscoting and carpet. This room has great appeal to those seeking a touch of history and spirit.

Room 12 has been recently remodeled and now sports a deep jetted tub. The large Chamber room with two queen beds is great for young families or those on a budget.

Guests arriving after 9:00 pm, please contact the hotel ahead of time for special entry arrangements. Thank you, 209-962-6455.

Reservation Notes:

Cancellations: We understand that sometimes your travel plans will change. To avoid possible room charges, please let us know within 3 days of your arrival date if you need to make changes. If you must cancel with a shorter notice than 72 hours, we will try to re-book your room; however, if we are unable to, you will be responsible for paying for that night. There is a $15.00 processing fee for all cancellations. Cell Phones: There is very limited access for cell phones in Groveland. We recommend you pick up a calling card before you head up the hill. Calling card calls (800) and local calls are free to make from the phone in your room or the lobby. Check in/Check out Times: We ask that guests check in between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm, if you will be later than 9:00 pm please let us know so that we can make arrangements to provide you after hours access. Check out time is 11:00 am. Forgotten Things: We want you to take your belongings with you, however, if you find you may have left something behind, please call us. If we have found your item, we will return it to you via USPS. You will be charged the price of the shipping plus a handling fee of $20.00 Occupancy: Room rates are based on double occupancy unless noted otherwise and include a buffet breakfast. Additional guests are $20.00 per night. Pets: We enjoy our dog, Bob, and consider him part of our family and often travel with him. We expect on occasion you may want to bring your dog on vacation with you. We appreciate your discussing this with us ahead of time as we only have one room available to guests traveling with their four-legged friends. There is a $20.00 fee for pets. Smoking: Smoking is not allowed in the hotel, restaurant or guest rooms. An additional cleaning fee of $100 will be incurred if this policy is not respected.
