| "Chris and Shirley,
It was a pleasure staying with you this past weekend!! Martha and I had a wonderful, relaxing time at Barrow’s House. Everything about our stay from the accommodations to the Southern hospitality was explicit!
Now, your question, what was the one thing we enjoyed most? Well, I would have to say that one is “loaded” with more than one choice. First, the countryside, it has been years since I had been to St. Francisville and Martha has never been. When we road around looking at all the beautiful country, it was like I was seeing it with her for the first time myself. I had forgotten just how beautiful and serene that area of Louisiana is! Next would be a number of things ranging from our stay with you guys to the food, the hospitality of the people in the area and the many attractions that we found by taking Shirley’s advice.
In closing, on behalf of Martha, I would like to add a special thanks to you guys for making her 50th birthday an enjoyable and memorable experience. The personal touch that you guys added was first class!! She enjoyed herself very, very much! We will be returning to stay and have highly recommended to everyone that a trip to St. Francisville is not complete without staying at the Barrow House!!
Thank you so much
" - "> I have just realized that in my haste to get an early start on my drive to > the airport last Sunday I forgot to write in the guest book in my room. > I'm sorry about that as I so enjoyed my stay and was more impressed than I > can say at how smoothly you run your whole operation. It's as if all that > work were done by some mysterious unseen hand while you two manage to be > everywhere at once, always welcoming and never seeming as tired and fed up > as you must surely often feel with two houses full of guests. > > Shirley - How good of you to have remembered to set the muffins and cakes > and croissant out for me; they were a godsend. I got to the airport early > enough to have them with a cup of coffee before going through security. > > Thank you both for everything. > " - |
