Visit our two lovely, adjoining homes built circa 1870. Stroll through our 1 acre complex; see the gardens and patios — an oasis of greenery and relaxation. Serene, very quiet and private. Located conveniently near restaurants, colleges and downtown night life. Our guests step back in time yet enjoy the modern conveniences such as wireless Internet, online reservations, cable TV, and private baths. Children and pets welcome!

When you walk into Fairfield Place, you will feel as though you are miles away from anything, yet you will have all of the modern amenities of a large hotel with the added benefit of feeling like you are at home. We have many repeat customers that have been coming back for years. I think that one of our guests said it best as she walked through the front door for the third time in two months and sang, “I’M HOME”.

Awake to the sweet smell of muffins baking. Enjoy a full breakfast each morning including hot or cold cereal, fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee or tea, eggs or French toast, bacon or sausage, and fresh baked croissants or biscuits. Baked apple French toast and caramelized bacon are just a few of our specialties.

A brief history of the home: Thomas Thompson Land, a Louisiana Supreme Court Judge, who built the home in the early 1870s, married Mary Eliza Dillingham and were the proud parents of 15 children born over a 22 year period.

Casinos: Shreveport offers five gaming boats within 10 minutes from our Inn.

American Rose Center: North America's largest rose garden of 118 acres that is the headquarters for the American Rose Society.

Red River District: Nightly entertainment, restaurants

Caddo Lake: This large lake, which extends into Texas, typifies Louisiana with its scenic Cypress trees, alligators, varied wildlife, and excellent bass fishing.

CenturyTel Center: Located on the banks of the Red River, CenturyTel Center is called "home" by both the Mudbugs CHL hockey team and The Bossier City Battle Wings, an af2 team, and host a variety of other sporting events. This venue also features concerts, family shows, ice-skating shows, motor sports, rodeos, conventions, religious and community events, as well as other special events.

Cross Lake: This large lake offers excellent fishing, boating, water skiing, party barges...
