Downtown Helena has numerous antique stores and The Delta Cultural Center. Nearby is The Phillips County Museum and several historical churches. St. John's Episcopal, St. Mary's Catholic Church and Centennial Baptist Church (currently under restoration).

Helena was the scene of a battle (one of several for control of the Mississippi River) and has several battery sites and The Confederate Cemetery located in Maple Hill Cemetery on the north side of town.

The Isle of Capri has two casinos located just across the Helena Bridge in Mississippi and North Tunica County, Mississippi boasts ten more, many with nightly shows.
