![]() Catch a glimpse of Niihau, the mysterious isle, from the whale watch deck, or watch the moon rise over Waimea Bay from the king sized bed in the Master bedroom. Below is covered parking, more covered deck, a BBQ, extra bathroom, and extra outdoor shower. Put your folks or friends up on the two twin beds in the bedroom/den, or on the queen sized sofa sleeper. There's room for six to share this island retreat. Surf, snorkel, swim, fish, or hike the rain forest in Kokee State Park. Beachcomb the black sand beach to the left, the white sand to the right, or sit on the four-ton boulders out front. Golf, tennis and shopping are also nearby. Or, just relax in a hammock and read. Wake to the sounds of the surf breaking upon the reef, and take your time in starting the day. Your hosts do not invade your privacy, so you are free to prepare your own feast in the big kitchen - well equipped with range, microwave, refrigerator, ice maker, blender, etc. Your hosts supply bagels, bacon, eggs, waffles, fresh island fruit, juice and coffee stocked in your private kitchen. The automatic dishwasher will clean up. Area Attractions and Activities: As the Garden Island, Kauai boasts numerous world-class Botanical Gardens. Several rivers offer kayaking fun for all ages at local outfitters. Hike through rare Hawaiian Rain Forest up the mountain behind Ole Kamaole's in Kokee State Park, or comb miles of empty beach. Poli Hale State Beach, only minutes away, is surrounded by sugar cane fields and is ghostly in its size and emptiness. Play golf in a volcanic crater or partake in a traditional Hawaiian luau. There is now a boardwalk into Alakai high altitude swamp in a volcanic crater. Fantastic diving and surfing. Helicopter tours are the best in the world! Caretaker apartment with separate entrance and insulated ceiling below. Full kitchen. Great ocean view, including Niihau island. |
