Located on the famous Bardstown Rd. in the heart of the historic and eclectic Highlands Neighborhood, where there are hundreds of locally owned shops, restaurants and galleries. The Inn also houses Le Gallo Rosso Italian Bistro, Louisville's hidden gem.

The Roost Inn, the 100 year old Victorian formerly known as the Inn Off the Alley, has 2 suites available, each with a private entrance, private bath, full kitchen, separate sitting area and queen-sized bed. An in-room continental breakfast of fresh muffins, bagels, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, milk, coffee and teas can be enjoyed at your leisure.

The largest suite, The Grand Duchess, can accomodate up to 4 people with its hide-a-bed couch. Garden Cottage is the medium-sized suite.

At the Inn's Italian Bistro, Le Gallo Rosso (The Red Rooster), you'll feel as if you just stepped into a rustic Italian villa. Owner and Chef, Annette Saco, offers an authentic Italian experience, using her grandmother's recipes to create her famous Deep Dish Lasagna, Gorgonzola Fettuccini, and Chicken Marsala. Le Gallo Rosso is open for dinner 6 nights a week, with reservations recommended.

The Inn and Le Gallo Rosso can offer an intimate experience for your wedding! Plenty of room for smaller receptions or rehersal dinners and suites for your out-of-town family, friends, and guests. The Highlands is a popular spot for Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties!

The Inn is located in the Historic and Eclectic Highlands of Louisville on the famous Bardstown Road. Surrounding and within walking distance are a movie theater, comedy club, bookstore, coffee shops, galleries, shops, boutiques, salons, taverns, and restaurants of many international flavors.

Within The Highlands are sights and recreation such as the Frederick Law Olmsted designed Cherokee Park, Louisville Zoo, Louisville Nature Preserve, Historic Cave Hill Cemetery with its famous burials, Historic Farmington Plantation, and Bowman Field Airport established in 1919.

The Highlands is centrally located in Louisville, just minutes from the International Airport, Downtown, Churchill Downs, University of Louisville Campus, Stadium and Arena, State Fairgrounds, Bellarmine University, International Convention Center, and Riverfront.
