The 1770 House
East Hampton, New York.
Historic colonial inn offers seven guestrooms with private baths, antiques and modern indulgences, and separate 2 bedroom Carriage House with loft. On site restaurant with downstairs tavern. Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, 2007.
Bed and Breakfast Description

This historic Inn is decorated with discretion and taste, more like the private home it originally was than a hotel. Throughout, the inn is appointed with antique furniture, traditional fabrics & objects d'art that reflect the present as well as the past.
The steep staircases and exposed beam ceilings, evocative of our 18th century roots, contrast with modern indulgences such as flat-screen television in each room, blend seamlessly with such timeless comforts as thick duvets and the finest bed linens.
Under the same roof, guests can enjoy the best of both worlds with acclaimed chef Kevin Penner's refined contemporary American cuisine and his more casual traditional pub fare in the downstairs tavern, each with a distinctive atmosphere and the same high standard of quality and service. Ever-changing menu offers wondrous appetizers and splendid entrees as well as unforgettable desserts.
