 The "elegance of a bygone era" is yours to enjoy in this 1912 Craftsman style home, situated in the historical district of Astoria, Oregon and close to where the mighty Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. Relax and read a book, enjoy a movie from the collection of films provided, or daydream as you watch ships from exotic ports of call slip quietly by on the river. Then finish off with a restful night's sleep in one of the five guestrooms, all with private bathrooms with robes and all beautifully furnished with antiques and art. In the morning, wake to a full breakfast served at 9:00 a.m. in the exquisite dining room overlooking the Columbia River. A short walk will take you to the historic downtown and a trolley ride on Astoria's scenic waterfront. The Rose River Inn is ideal for bridal/baby showers or small family reunions. The Astoria/Megler bridge at the mouth of the Columbia River, more than four miles long, is the longest of its type in North America. The Riverwalk offers closeup views of the river, the bridge, and Astoria's working waterfront. The renowned Columbia River Maritime Museum is located along the Riverwalk just a short walk away. Miles of sandy beaches, golfing, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and an abundance of other activities are also nearby for your enjoyment.
