Bed and Breakfast Description

Rockland, Maine bed and breakfast: Captain Lindsey House Inn

In 1924, the Camden-Rockland Water Company bought the Lindsey House to meet the needs of a growing community. Guest rooms became offices and labs, and an eight bay garage was built to house and maintain equipment In 1994, the Water Company moved on and Capts. Ken and Ellen Barnes bought the buildings.

Offices once more, gave way to charming guest rooms, and the full service Captain Lindsey House Inn, serving mariners, visitors and business travelers was revived.

All nine rooms boast down covered mattresses and duvets, hidden televisions, phones and Wi-Fi. Bathrooms have double wide showers, extra large fluffy towels and bathrobes and hair dryers. Our private secret garden is a lovely afternoon retreat.

Large gourmet breakfasts are served every morning. Our staff will give you all the guidance you need to make your stay in our area exciting and pleasant. The eight bay garage emerged as The WaterWorks. Rockland's very own place to meet friends, enjoy a hearty meal, and celebrate the weekend.
