Welcome to The Winemakers Porch at Frances James Vineyard. Our vineyard was planted in 1998 in Paso Robles, California, where the climate is perfect for growing premium wine grapes. We have warm sunny days and cool nights with a temperature variance of about 50 degrees. Our Bordeaux vineyard consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot,Malbec,Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

We opened "The Winemakers Porch" in 2003 giving guests an oportunity to share our "Vineyard" dream come true. 3 rooms are available ranging from $175-$250/night. 2 have fireplaces, one with soaker tub and kitchette and one with private retreat area. All rooms have private baths, refrigeratos, picnic baskets, cozy robes and luxury linens. Coffee or tea delivered to your room each morning before breakfast. Bottle of wine and wireless internet included.

Weather permitting, a full breakfast will be served outside overlooking the Tuscan style landscape of Paso Robles or inside in the large dining room.

During your stay you will be welcomed into our barrel room for appetizers and tastings of our reserve vintages. Come and be our guest at The Winemakers Porch, for a complete vine to wine experience.

From antique airplanes and vintage tractors, to family homestead antiques and bits of legacy from the town’s hot springs period, history is alive and well 365 days of the year in Paso Robles.
